Three cheers to Bachchan Jr.!

So far I have been yapping on social issues ( plagiarising and contaminants) , so in this post , i intend to talk about the best and the most handsome actor on earth , Abhishek Bachchan!
This long-legged handsome guy has good brains too. The reason why i am happy is that he has made a very wise decision in dumping Aishwarya Rai (http://www.apunkachoice.com/scoop/bollywood/20060427-1.html for the story). Now I have no qualms about Aishwarya Rai , but the way she dumped Vivek Oberoi and Salman Khan was way too sad. So , for a change Abhishek got to dump this arrogant lass.
But the reason for dumping is rather dumb. Yes , I did not like Bachchan going around with this girl , but dumping her because of astrology is a little stupid. When you like a person , why should astrology come in question? And thus we come to a conclusion - Abhishek Bachchan never really liked Aishwarya Rai , like his Dad and Mom!
Another thing - according to the story "Abhishek Bachchan never listens to anyone , except his parents". This is pretty sentimental and foolish. Yeah , you should respect your parents , but certain things you need to decide in life.
Anyway , Abhishek Bachchan , go back to Rani Mukherjee or Dipannita Sharma again , or wait , are they dating someone else?

Free 'gifts' in Soft Drink bottles...

Pepsi and Coco-Cola are facing tough times these days by providing 'free gifts'. The first gift was the abundant amount of pesticides in both of them some time back. The issue became highly controversial , was the meat for gossip columns and died , just how it appeared.
Some time back , someone reported to have found 'paan parag' in a Coke bottle , a condom and dirt in a Pepsi bottle ( and the consumer is in hospital now , down with food poisoning) and the recent one - dead insects floating on the fizz of an unopened Coke bottle.
First impression - Shocking. These soft - drink manufacturing companies sell bottles of soft drinks along with dirt , pesticides and what not , and the profits go to the US of A? Can there be anything more disgusting than that? This is even more disgusting than the condom-findings.
If a Pepsi bottle in US contains all these presents , would the westerners keep quiet? Of course not. The least they would have done is to fine the companies for half a million , compared to the measly 1.2 lakh charged by the Indians.
Why is it that in India , when it comes to MNCs , we keep quiet? These issues do not make headlines in The Hindu , but instead find themselves in the 12'th page , in a small , unseen column. Yeah , making headlines may sound absurd , but I think this is one way , to show that we Indian will not take any bull-shit from the Foreign companies.
And the way , PepsiCo. reacted in the court , they wouldn't have even dared to think of in New York. "Some one would have planted these to demean us". Hell , the primary duty of every food company is to ensure that no-one does these things , which plainly means that Pepsi Co. does not ensure the hygiene of the soft drinks. Which means you can expect a dead , or worse , alive cockroach in a Lays packet ( which is filled with air anyway to ensure respiration! ) or swotted mosquitoes in Kur Kure. And now , you can drink road-side drinks , well assured that the hygiene of the foriegn manufactured drinks is no greater than that. Talk of relative misery.

How Opal Mehta copied , got caught and (lost) her life

Hi all,

The 'Being Cyrus' review is posted at "http://www.mouthshut.com/review/Being_Cyrus-97590-1.html". Do read it and leave your comments.

On Monday , I came to know about this Kavya Viswanathan episode ( and for those who aren't aware - crimson.com.) It is indeed shameful to Indian writers in general and this girl has toppled the dream mountain built by several authors by 'plagiarising' MCcafferty's book(s).
Here are my questions and the answers , i'm dying to know. First , will the so-called movie by DreamWorks be made or not? Second , will her so-called second book be released or not? Third , will she receive her half-a-million fee? Fourth , What is the fine she pays? Fifth , how are her parents reacting to this???.
My reason for the fifth question - apparently this young chick had said in one of her interviews that her parents reacted to her book becoming a grand success , by planning a 'book-party' with carpets and rose-petals to adorn her feet. And poor mummy wakes up Kaavya early morning to ask whether the petals should be white or red. Going by the turn of events , rose-petals and carpets?
Yeah , some interesting blogs reacted to this like http://www.kaavyaiwantmymoneyback.blogspot.com , http://www.vkpedia.blogspot.com , http://www.avodkamartini.blogspot.com and many more...

Do tell me what you think!
